CD Baby

When people wonder about whether you can make money and stick to the Google Mantra (“Don’t be evil”), you need to look no further than CD Baby.

The part I find most fascinating about CD Baby is that they have grown by filling a niche and being really good to the underserved. They targeted a specific community, delivered exactly what they community wanted, and continued to work with that community … who in turn created buzz and word of mouth around them like no other.

CD Baby wasn’t/isn’t simply a service TO the community, they are part OF the community.
