Ask the Community Guy

January 2nd, 2008 Posted in Business Strategy

As mentioned in my previous post about the 2008, I mentioned that I’m going to be speaking less which will free me up to help out more. One of the biggest parts of that effort will be the Ask the Community Guy feature I’ve added to the site.

Have a question about customer engagement, crowdsourced design, community building, social media, or other such topics? Ask away! Participating is simple, just send a question one of the following ways:

  • Post a question as a comment in this thread
  • Email a question to ask@communityguy.com
  • Message @askcommunityguy on Twitter (or direct message is fine too)

I’ll be doing my best to answer all the questions that come in, even if not immediately. And since I have plenty of things to learn myself, I’ll be reaching out to other smart people to answer questions that are outside my range of knowledge.

The Community Guy is in. How can I help?

Jake – this is a great service and so I’m going to see if community can help me in my quest to find great case studies and/or research reports to help me with an investor presentation my team is doing. The goal of the presentation is to demonstrate to our potential investors that smart companies (particularly marketers) can’t ignore building or participating in communities to improve their top and bottom lines.

Case studies about big name companies like Nike, P&G, SAP (and of course Lego) usually speak the loudest. Also, if anyone can recommend great research reports from well known firms like Gartner, Forrester, IDC etc., that would be helpful. I’m happy to purchase (or we may already have access through our corporate relationships.)

Thanks in advance. For anyone that is willing to help out, I am always happy to return the favor at some future date.

    Best,
    Aaron
