The Ant Hill is hard at work this summer and is growing. This past spring, we opened our third office, in Silicon Valley, to support a growing roster of clients including Cisco, Intuit, Wells Fargo, EMC, and more.

As we build our Silicon Valley team, we’re looking to hire a seasoned practitioner who’s built and scaled social media, online community, or influencer efforts within large organizations. Our senior consultant in Silicon Valley will be a critical member of the team helping large organizations transform into fully engaged enterprises.

Here we go again! One of my colleagues at Ant’s Eye View just posted a new job opening on the Community Guy Job Board. That’s right, we’re hiring a Senior Consultant. Interested? Check out the job post, or see the details below.

Ant’s Eye View continues to grow and we are looking for the next ant to join our colony. The open position is a Senior Consultant in the Seattle, Washington area to lead client engagements, build out project deliverables, and contribute to internal business operations/processes.

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

• 5-7 years experience in Product Management, Product Marketing, and/or Strategy Consulting.
• 1-3 years experience with online community management/strategy (specifically experience with applying social media and/or web 2.0 technologies to solve business problems)
• Experience project managing medium/large scale, multi-phased client engagements or product/service launches.
• A base level of knowledge in business strategy, marketing, finance, operations, and data analysis techniques Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Need to be able to present comfortable to executive audience.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or some related discipline is required. MBA is a plus.
• Ability to travel – TBD on exact frequency, but expect 1-2 trips per month, could be more or less.
• Approximately 50+% of work can be accomplished at AEV office and via conference calls with clients.

Sometimes a job description comes across the Community Guy Jobs Board that I simply can’t help but share it’s so cool.

Ant’s Eye View is expanding an increasingly important part of our practice and as such looking to staff up. That’s right, we’re in the market for a Listening Manager, someone who can own and build our social listening services.

Is this you?

Ants Eye View will operate a listening practice for existing and new clients. A listening practice will provide clients with real-time online conversations (from customers, prospects, competitors, suppliers, shareholders) about clients’ brand/products. Online conversations provide a company with an opportunity to engage with customers, prospects, influencers about their brand/product. Insights can include: product feedback, purchase evaluation criteria, competitive offerings, customer satisfaction. Online conversations include: blog posts, blog comments, forum posts, tags (images and videos), tweets.

1. Work with tools to establish a client profile. Profile will include topics and keywords used to identify relevant online conversations. Refine topics and keywords with client based on the online conversations returned via listening platform.
2. Establish with client weekly metrics package including volume of online conversations, primary sources of online conversations, business insights and recommendations.
3. Provide client with daily HOT list – “hot” online conversations with recommendations/actions clients should take to prevent public embarrassment or legal risk. Also insights and recommendations can be opportunity for client to accent the positive mentions occurring on the web.
4. Manually score sentiment (negative, neutral, mixed, positive)
5. Conduct any client training on tool, reports, or outreach process
6. Establish him/herself as the AEV Listening GURU/Advocate. Actively participate in online conversations about this topic across the web (and offline at key events). Drive thought leadership to always demonstrate/challenge the power of Listening.
