Latest Snapcast!

May 4th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Podcasts

Once again Lee, Chris, and I all got together for a brief discussion via Skype. The discussion this week is the Kryptonite story, specifically my email interview with the Kryptonite PR person.

It was a great discussion, and probably the last you’ll hear from me on the subject for a while. Here’s a few links that we referenced in the discussion:

All three of us would love to hear your feedback, as well as suggestions for the next podcast.

New Snapcast – coming soon!

April 22nd, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Podcasts

I’m currently preparing the next Community Guy Snapcast – and this one is going to be huge.

I’ve contacted Joe Trippi, Howard Dean’s former campaign manager, and one of the key figures in bringing the Web to the Dean campaign.

Think what you will about Howard Dean’s politics, but you can’t argue with the campaign success, or their acceptance and use of technology.

I’ll be interviewing Joe on 27 April, and will have the Snapcast posted shortly after. I’d like to open up this thread to ask for any potential questions you’d be interested in hearing answered. Not saying I’ll use them all, but I’ll certainly factor them into my planning. You still have time to read his book if you want to prepare!

This is going to be fun!

Podcast – Episode 3

April 11th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Podcasts

Time for another podcast! This one is being released as a full episode.

This time around, the podcast is a three-way conference call between me, Lee from CommonCraft.com, and Chris from SocialCustomer.com. We spend about 30 mins talking about BzzAgents and Chris’ recent post on the subject.

It was tons of fun, and if Chris and Lee are interested, we’ll be running more of these sessions on the community/social issues of the day.

Snapcast #4

April 9th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Podcasts

The latest Snapcast is a bit different this time around. Christopher Carfi over at Social Customer Manifesto turned me onto TextAloud, a program that “reads” text with an electronic voice. The program comes standard with a few marginal voices, but the upgraded voices are incredible.

So this Snapcast is actually the reading of a previous blog entry. It’s a big fat experiment, so please make sure to let me know if you think these are understandable and/or interesting. If you like them, I’ll probably start posting a snapcast of the better blog entries in the same format.

Snapcast #3 – Robin Wolaner Interview

March 18th, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Podcasts

Continuing the review process of Naked in the Boardroom, check out the snapcast interview with the author, Robin Wolaner.

The interview was fun, and we talked a bunch about social networking, including the story about Friendster and Typepad joining forces.

Snapcast #2

After recording Snapcast #2 today, Lee from CommonCraft.com and I continued on and did another one. The second one focused on Lee’s trip to the Blog Business Summit. (The trip that I was very jealous of!).

Snapcast #1

February 21st, 2005 | No Comments | Posted in Podcasts

So I’ve coined a new term (I think) – Snapcast. It’s a short, down and dirty podcast. The idea is that between my big episodes, I’ll be posting quick (10-15 minutes) podcasts of a specific subject.

The first snapcast is an interview with Lee LeFever from CommonCraft.com. The interview focuses on Lee’s recent trip to Nothern Voice.

I was playing around today while driving around town. I’m testing some options for podcasting via phone in my car.

Here’s a short podcast to test it out.

Podcast #1

Well, it’s done! The first podcast! It’s rough, it’s ugly, but it’s done! I’m going to work to improve… well, just about everything over the course of the next few episodes. I’m going to do my best to do one a week!

As the opening music, I’ve selected a great song by a great GarageBand.com artist: BB Chung King and the Buddaheads – Company Graveyard

Show Notes:

GarageBand.com featured artist: Beth Waters – Ask the Sky

This podcast is, obviously, my first. If you have any feedback, please feel free to email me. I’d love to get feedback! – jakeATcountersinkdgDOTcom
