This team is part of the larger communications team that is helping to make this a reality on a daily basis.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
•Oversee online publishing staff responsible for content on media, public affairs and employee communications sites.
•Manage Corporate Communications Team Connect web site including wikis, blogs and share documents.
•Actively involved with  the capital project to redesign key media and employee websites to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery with content that reflects forward thinking social media applications, tools and practices.
•Provide strategic thinking and support around Ford's social media efforts that extends to all areas of the company, coupled with creative solutions that will put the company on the cutting edge of digital communications.
•Implement tactics that flow from the social media strategy, coordinating efforts of our external agency and staff members, including the development of a blogger relations program.
•Manage and mentor staff, and manage vendor relationships including financial responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Requirements include, but are not limited to:
•Bachelor's degree in communications or any related field.
•Experience managing complex IT projects.
•Online publishing/editing skills consistent with the current state of the Web: regular content creation, categorization, and tracking and the ability to discern content worth sharing.
•Active participation in and knowledge of social media & social networking sites and tools.
•Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work collaboratively with a cross-functional team.
•Has a can-do attitude and a sense of urgency in this rapidly changing environment.
•Demonstrates superior influencing and negotiation skills, with internal and external contacts.  Continuously demonstrates superior problem-solving, decision-making and project management skills.
